On October 27th, I welcomed my 30th birthday.
It was a wonderful day as any other day in a year.
I went to work and saw my dear students.
10月27日に30歳の誕生日を迎えました。
とてもすてきな一日を過ごすことができました。
仕事に行って、可愛い教え子達と過ごしました。

| One boy gave me this drawing as soon as he walked in the classroom in the morning. "Miss Akari, this is for you. I drew this at home. Happy Birthday." ある男の子が、朝学校に来るなり、 「これ家で描いてきた。先生に。お誕生日おめでとう。」って。 |

After school, I had a very wonderful talk with my friend.
Then, I went to the top of Haleakala by myself as usual.
ある友人と、とても心温まる会話を持った後、
毎年恒例のハレアカラ山頂へ一人で行ってきました。

| Haleakala was clear. No clouds. I felt it was saying, "Come, come." ハレアカラはとても晴れていました。 雲一つありませんでした。 「おいで、おいで」と言ってくれているような。 |

| The moon was almost full. 満月の一日前でした。 |
There was no one, no single cloud, no wind, but there was a huge crater, the moon, me, and God. I greeted Suga, Kouji, and Kobacchi (where we scattered their ashes). I was expressing my year worth of appreciation, and an hour and half passed so quickly. I truly felt how much I am loved by this world. The feeling circulated throughout my body and came out as tears. I could not stop crying. I probably looked really wired, but I didn't care. There was no one, and it was my birthday. This is my birthday ritual, and my favorite way to spend it.
てっぺんには誰もいなくて、風もなくて、雲もなくて、大きな火口と、お月様と、私と、神様だけ。須賀先生とこうちゃんとこばっちに挨拶して（三人の遺灰が撒かれたところで）。今年一年の感謝の思いを心の中で述べていたら、１時間半があっという間に過ぎていました。この世界に愛されていることをひしひしと感じ、その気持ちが身体中を巡ると涙となって出ていきました。そんなんで涙が止まらなくて。傍目から見たら怪しい人だったかもしれないけど、そんなこと気にしない。一人だし。誕生日だし。これが私の誕生日の儀式。そしてそうやって誕生日を過ごすのが大好きです。

過去にどんな風に誕生日を過ごしたのかなと思って、ちょっと見てみました。ブログを2006年に始めたので、過去6年分でしたら見ることが出来ます。ここにリストしておきました。（自分の利便のためにも。）
