ArT=Mixx in July ７月のArT=Mixx

I like checking out their entry gate. It is different
every time (according to the theme).
入場門を見るのが楽しみ。
毎回テーマに沿ってデザインされている。

The ArT=Mixx in July was as fun as the June one, and it was even more deluxe in my opinion. Hats off to all the people who came together to produce this night! What a great accomplishment and contribution they have made for Maui people. Again, this was an entry free event!

７月のArT=Mixxは６月のものにさらに輪をかけてデラックスでした。このイベントを計画、主催した人たちすごい！マウイの人たちのために、よくがんばってくれました。またまた入場料無料だったのよ！

Gabriel Mott Colors was one of the artists. He did an amazing work.

友人のゲイブリエル・モット・カラーズの作品もすごかった。

This time, the theme was black and white.
今回のテーマは白と黒。（英語では黒を先に言う。White and blackとは言わない。）

So many people came!
沢山の人が来てた！

There were many fine performances.
沢山のパフォーマンスもありました。

The visual art exhibition was awesome, too.
展示場の中の視覚芸術も芸術性が高かったと思う。

There was a photo shooting booth. You can put on different costumes on, and a photographer takes pictures of you.

写真撮影スタジオも出来上がってました。用意されているコスチュームの中から自由に選んで、カメラマンが撮ってくれるというもの。

My favorite booth was this - styrene foam printing. With a well sharpened pencil, you draw pictures and put black ink all over it and put a white paper on top of it to print. I want to do this with my students.

私が好きだったコーナはこれ。版画。発泡スチロールに尖った鉛筆で絵を描いて、インクを塗って、白い紙に刷るというもの。生徒とやろうと思う。

I tried to make a candle. I should have made more lines. It is too black.
私はろうそくを描いたんだけど、もっと白を入れたら良かったな。

Inside this little space, some sort of theater play was going on.
この中でお芝居が繰り広げられてました。

Everyone was in black and white.
みんな白黒。

I saw my friends Naoko and Tara. Another great thing about this event is to see friends.
友達のなおちゃんとたらちゃんにも会いました。このイベントでは友達に会えるのも楽しみ。

Lastly, I always wanted to take a picture with him, so I did it.

最後に。この方と一緒に写真を撮りたいなといつも思っていたので、撮ってみました。
