New Year's Day in Uchiko 元旦を内子で

My parents, my younger brother, and I went to Uchiko to spend the New Year's Day with Grandma Kayako (my dad's mom) and other relatives. It was only an hour drive. My dad drove, and my mom, my brother, and I slept deeply on the way as if we were hypnotized.

My uncle and aunt (my dad's brother and his wife) were there, too. My aunt always prepares gorgeous meals for us.

I love getting together with my relatives. A picture of everyone surrounding heartily prepared meals together warms my body and heart.

両親と弟と私は元旦の日に、内子に行ってきました。かや子おばあちゃんや伯父さん伯母さんに会うために。松山から内子までは１時間のドライブ。父が運転している間、母と弟と私は何故か催眠をかけられたように爆睡していました。

おばあちゃんの家には伯父と伯母（父の兄とその奥さん）が来ていました。伯母さんは毎年素晴らしい手料理を用意してくださいます。

私は親戚と集まるのが好きです。心を込めて用意された食事をみんなで囲んでいる風景は、私の心も体も温めてくれます。
