Sunflower and Children 子ども達とひまわり

The sunflower seeds my students planted last year are growing and growing just like the kids.
Smiles of children and sunflowers suit one another well.

The first sunflower is about to bloom!

The children look at their sunflower everyday. I have one student with selective mutism, but he is very friendly and participates in every activity we do in the classroom. I have not spoken with him yet, but he shows me his pot every single morning recess with a big smile. That is one of our set communication time.

I hope to grow toward the sun with strong roots like the sunflower, and I hope to grow everyday with an open mind like my students.

上の写真を撮ったときは、一番初めの花が開花する直前です。

子ども達は毎朝学校に来ると、自分のひまわりの成長具合をチェックしているみたい。私のクラスには場面緘黙症（ばめんかんもくしょう）の子が一人います。でもとってもフレンドリーで、全てのアクティビティに進んで参加するような子です。彼とはまだ話したことがありません。でも、毎日朝の休み時間に自分の鉢を嬉しそうに見せにきます。それが、彼との定期的なコミュニケーションの時間です。

ひまわりの様にしっかりと大地に根を張って、お日さまに向かってぐんぐんと育っていけますように。そして子ども達のように開かれた眼（まなこ）と心で毎日大きくなっていきますように。
