Goa - the 1st Day ゴア1日目

I had such a wonderful opportunity to visit Goa in India with my dance teacher, Smt. Jhelum Paranjape and her senior students to perform with them. What an honor it was. We went there by a train that took 12 hours each way. I got to experience an Indian long-distance train ride.

インドのゴアというところに（ムンバイの南にある）、踊りの先生、ジェーラム・パランツァペ先生と先生の長年のお弟子さんたちと行って一緒に踊らせて頂くという、大変光栄な機会に恵まれました。片道12時間の列車の旅でした。インドの長距離列車を体験することが出来ました。

Time went by as we ate snacks and chatted.
お菓子を食べたり、談話をしたりして時間が過ぎていきます。

On this train ride, I got to see a mountain for the first time in India.

When I saw the glimpse of nature, I felt so relieved and realized how much I was missing it.

In Mumbai, a city of concrete jungle, I did not get to see any of it.

この列車に乗って、インドに来てから初めて山を見ました。

一瞬自然の一部が目に入ってきたとき、とてもほっとした自分がいて、そしてどれだけ自然を欲していたのかに気づきました。コンクリートジャングルのムンバイでは「自然」は存在していませんでしたから。

Finally! After 12 hours of train ride, we arrived in Goa.
The organizer sent a shuttle to pick us up from the train station.
ついに到着。12時間列車に乗ってゴア入り。
主催者側が駅までシャトルで迎えにきてくれたところ。

I was surprised to see such a clean and beautiful hotel.

I guess it's only in India that you see Saree as one of laundry items listed.
